Having started her art career at the opera/singing department of Mimar Sinan University, Sayılgan made a radical change and completed her education in fashion and portrait photography at the London College of Printing (now known as the London College of Communication).

After her assistantship period, she founded her own studio formation “Studioplus” in 2005.

In 2009, she opened her first personal exhibition called “Fresh & Flesh”.

In 2010, she edited and shot the TV program “Magic Fingers with Lara Sayılgan”, which is about change. All this time, she continues her work by creating covers for fashion magazines, editorial shoots, album covers, portraits and advertising shoots.

As of 2022, the artist, who has been a part of the Vision Art Platform, has been exhibiting nature photographs, videos and works using different techniques, which she started to take in the past years and continues to do so simultaneously, within the gallery;

In 2022, she participated in the 17th Contemporary Istanbul, followed by the 7th Edition of Art Weeks Akaretler in November 2022, the 18th Edition of Contemporary Istanbul in 2023, the 8th Edition of Art Weeks Akaretler in 2023, the 3rd Edition of CI Bloom in April 2024, ‘Summer on the Line’ at Bodrum Edition Hotel in July 2024, and the 19th Edition of Contemporary Istanbul in October 2024.

In the upcoming days, the artist will participate with her photographic works in the group exhibition “dot / line / dot: S.O.S” prepared by Akbank Sanat, in the 20th Edition of CI Bloom and in ‘Photo London’ which will take place in May.
